9ice’s Gongo Aso vs Gbamu Gbamu – Which One Is A More Better Hit Song?

Oh ye! Music aficionados here on Best9jamusic, I bring to you today another brainiac argument.

Now we ain’t even doing inter comparison between artist, but intra comparison within one legendary musician we all know definitely deserves some accolades.

9ice drops an Album tittles Gongo Aso in 2008, and this album hits the African music sphere with a turbulent wave and we all Nigerians are proud of our own person, Adigun Alapomeji for the enormous craft he induced in that Album.

This particular track Gongo Aso was my favorite, which am very sure it’s gonna be most of you all favorite too.

We have other mind wallowing tracks too in that Album like Street Credibility with 2BabaKinda LifePamurogo, e.t.c, but in my own jurisdiction I think Gongo Aso is the hub of the Album.

Now, Gongo Aso placed the Ancestor on the height he craved for swiftly, but I can authoritatively say Gbamu Gbamu Cemented Adigun there for long than he yearn for.

We have plenty artist that get to that Top spot with a very good track, but their follow up tracks might be so bad that they can even cement themselves there for a while.

I won’t like to mention name of artistes that falls in to this category, but using your church mind, you can sure mention 5 artistes that fall here in your mind.

So to the main bone of contention of this post, I believe many of us, if not all of us has definitely listened to Gongo Aso and Gbamu Gbamuuncountable number of times.

With your past vibe with the songs, I will like you to answer this Jamb question 👇🏾

9ice Reveals How Davido Begged Him For A Feature In ‘Living Things’ Remix

Founder of Alapomeji Records, 9ice has said Davido Begged Him, Before He Featured Him In Remix of his hit track, ‘Living Things’.

In his recent interview, 9ice claimed that davido begged for a feature because he doesn’t really love doing remix of my songs.

He said;

NBC Ban: This Is What Really Happened

The public had been led to believe that the National Brodcasting Corporation (NBC) has placed a ban on a number of songs including Olamide’s Wo!  The ban was believed to have been placed on the basis that the songs, particularly Wo!, carried contents that are unfit for public circulation.

However, one of the key officers of the NBC has come out to say that the commission had nothing to do with the ban. In a recent interview with TheCable, NBC Director of broadcast monitoring, Idachaba Armstrong distanced the commission from the ban.

In his words, “Nobody at NBC issued a statement to the effect. We can’t be issuing a statement on every album released in his country. The broadcaster has the responsibility to do the needful”.

He further said that “NBC does not ban songs, we don’t have any business with the artistes. It is left for NBC to tell stations to ensure the songs and videos are fit for broadcast before putting them on air.”

He went on to talk about the responsibility of broadcast stations in deciding which song is fit for broadcast and which one is unfit.

He said, “The whole idea of offensive vulgar lyrics. It is the responsibility of broadcasters to ensure they don’t come on air.”

“They are supposed to do what is called gate-keeping and they should have editorial control over their content but broadcasters now carelessly air songs without exercising that editorial discretion,” he added.

From these statements, it appears that Olamide’s Wo! and Wavy LevelDavido’s Fall and If Remix alongside 9ice’s Living things were never banned by NBC but their fitness for airplay is subject to the editorial discretion of broadcasters.

Living Things Friday! – Reminisce Sides With 9ice Over Falz

The issue about Falz’s ‘Glorifying fraud’ interview is yet to come to an end, as Reminisce, has now jumped into the mix, coming up strong with a not so necessary shade at Falz.

The 2Mussh crooner, took to twitter subtly shading Falz with a tweet which read thus:

This is coming few hours after 9ice, granted an interview denying his song LIVING THINGS, has anything to do with fraud. If you missed it, read here.

Falz Is Right, We Are Role Models To The Youths – Orezi

With the entire drama of fraud and the promotion of it by artistes presently causing a stir on the internet, with thousands taking large chunks of meat out of Falz’s ass for the statement, one artiste, who agrees with everything Falz said, is singer Orezi.

Speaking with Planet TV, the CALL THE POLICE crooner, said it is ‘imperative’ that artistes mind what they say and do on TV, as many watching them copy everything they see.

We are like role  models to the society, and the younger ones and the youth in general, so whatever we say, they look up to us, they watch our videos, so it’s very imperative we should watch what we say or how we act when we are on TV.

Whose side are you on this? Share your thoughts below.

9ice Fires Back At Falz On Claims His Music Promotes Fraud

Yesterday, the internet was agog with all genre of drama following an interview Falz, granted to Hip TV, poo pooing artistes who promote fraud/fraudsters with their music.

You are an entertainer, in a position as a role model to younger ones coming up and in your musical record you are greeting all the yahoo boys, you are greeting all the fraudsters, calling their name personally, hailing them, wire wire mo fe cha che…you are making the young ones think it’s cool to do it, it’s not. You are destroying our future.

During the interview, The SOFT WORK crooner, refrained from mentioning names but that did not stop the internet from assuming he was referring to certain acts, with one of such acts feeling the need to fire back at the rapper.

The artiste, veteran act 9ice, while speaking with Hip TV, debunked claims his successful record, LIVING THINGS is promoting fraud.

It’s not about promoting fraud, so to speak. It’s about one who wakes up in the morning needs to go and work and earn a living. It’s not negative, it’s positive. You just have to be in that realm to understand what the song is all about.

Singer, Segun Obe Fires Shots At ‘Poor’ D’banj, Davido, 9ice

Inspirational singer, Segun Obe has accused Koko Master, D’Banj is a shadow of himself.
The artiste, who has spent more than a decade in the music industry and was once with D’Banj in a youth choir a long time ago, hinted that the singer should retrace his steps and search his mind deeply for answers to his music career.
Segun, younger brother to Tunde Obe of TWO, also blasted 9ice and Davido.

D’Banj is confused. His songs lack substance. He’s not achieved fulfillment but struggling for relevance.

The singer can be bigger than this as his music is suffering. Also Davido, OBO has lost his voice, he’s now relying on studio voice.

9ice, who I respected, needs to reinvent himself,” the singer fired at a recent forum.

The gospel musician  may definitely not be as popular as his elder brother, Tunde, but something one cannot take away from him is his vocal chord.
