See What Basketmouth Said About Couples In The Big Brother Naija House

Relationships in the Big Brother Naija house are really heating up, and Showmax’s Hot Room host Basketmouth had some things to say about this on the latest episode of the show.

Fan favourites, Mercy and Ike were first on the target line as the pair couldn’t keep their hands away from each other, as per usual.

“I need you to help me, I’m hot and my pants have to come off,” Ike said to Mercy on one occasion. A request Mercy was only too happy to grant before the pair dissolved into a fit of laughter. But Basketmouth was not impressed by Mercy’s sudden shyness. “Mercy, Mercy why are you shocked? That’s the fruit of your labour, you’ve been working very hard for this thing” he taunted.

Frodd was not spared from the teasing either as Basketmouth threw jabs at him while he and Esther stole glances at Khaffi and Gedoni as the pair cuddled under the sheets.

Catch all the intimate moments from your favourite Big Brother Naija couples and Basketmouth’s jabs on Hot Room showing every week on Showmax.

Moment Epe Residents Stopped EFCC Operatives From Entering Ambode’s House [Videos/Photos]

Moment Epe residents stopped EFCC operatives from entering Ambode

A video making rounds online captured the moment Epe residents stopped operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from entering former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode’s house.

Indigenes of the Lagos community reportedly stopped operatives of the anti-graft agency from going on with the raid on grounds of it being a witch-hunt. Here are photos and videos taken from the scene below;

Moment Epe residents stopped EFCC operatives from entering Ambode

This is coming after the EFCC denied raiding the residence of the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode. A statement from the anti-graft agency read;

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has since early hours of today, been inundated with calls that operatives of the Commission raided the residence of the former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.

We need to state for the records that the EFCC did not raid Ambode’s house. It is instructive that his administration, like other former governors is under investigation, since they no longer constitutionally enjoy immunity against prosecution.

The Commission hereby states with high sense of responsibility that the operatives did not raid Ambode’s residence. Whatever the Commission is presently doing with regards to the investigation is in line with its mandate and the rule of law.

We wish to inform the social media to be circumspect in the reportage of any news with regards to investigation activities of the Commission.
As a tradition, the Commission does not carry out investigation on the pages of the newspapers or through the media. Our operations are always covert until at a time when we file charges in court.

Therefore, the attempt to cast the Commission in a bad light is unacceptable as the EFCC will never engage in illegal act. We remain committed to the war against corruption.”

For displaying her prowess in vocabulary, strategy, and speed, Esther became the first female in the Big Brother Naija to sit on the Head of House throne twice this season.

This week, the Head of House challenge was to test the Housemates’ vocabulary strength. In five minutes, the Housemates were required to spell as many words as possible and the Housemate with the most correctly spelt words will become the Head of House.

Venita, Diane, Mike and Tacha were disqualified by Biggie. Mercy also got her last word invalidated as she spelt it after the buzzer went off. In addition to Biggie’s rules, the Housemates were to avoid spelling proper nouns and repeating a word.

EFCC Finally Speaks On ‘Raid Of Governor Amosun’s House In Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun is not under investigation by the anti-graft agency.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

He denied media reports that its agents stormed the basement of the Ikeja residence of the Governor in Lagos.

Uwujaren also insisted that the Commission had not been on the trail of the Governor for two weeks before the purported raid, where cash in local and foreign currencies were reportedly recovered.

“It is important to state that there is no truth in the report. Governor Amosun was neither under surveillance nor was any of his residence raided by operatives of the EFCC.

“Consequently, members of the public are enjoined to disregard the false report,” he stated.

Amosun had earlier rubbished such rumours.
