Lagos Police Command Arrest Four Officers Seen in Viral Video Shooting At Unarmed Suspects [Video]

Lagos Police command arrest four officers seen in viral video shooting at unarmed suspects (Photo)

The Lagos State Police Command responded to the viral video on social media showing some Police Officers shooting two unarmed suspects who were arrested and already in their custody by arresting the guilty officers and charging them for murder.

According to the state PRO, Bala Elkana, their action is against the code of professional conduct and laws guiding how suspects in Police custody should be treated. The Policemen were identified as Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergeant Olaniyi Solomon,  Sergeant Solomon Sunday and Corporal Aliyu Mukaila  attached to Iba Division Patrol team.

The incident happened on 19/8/2019 at about 3.00pm, when Iba Police Station received a distress call  from one Anugu Valentine that he was attacked by a group of armed men numbering about four  on two  motorcycles at Ipayi area, Iba and they dispossessed him of one iPhone  max valued at #450: 000.

Acting on the information, the Divisional Police Officer Iba promptly deployed the Divisional Patrol team to the scene. Two of the armed robbers were arrested while two escaped. Two locally made pistols with six life cartridges and five expended cartridges were recovered. The gang is said to be notorious for series of robberies in Iba and environs. It was a well celebrated operation by the team as the suspects were gallantly arrested.

The team however, went extreme by killing the suspects who were already in their custody instead of taking them to the Police Station and allowing the normal process of investigation and prosecution to be initiated as stipulated under procedural laws.

That act of extra judicial killings falls short of police professional standards and cannot be condoned by the Command. The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu mni has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

The Police Officers are currently subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings known as Orderly Room trial and if found culpable, they will be dismissed from the Force and will be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba for prosecution in the conventional Court. Members of the Public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation and trial.

#BBNaija: Daddy Freeze Reacts To MET Police Alleged Plans To Sack Khafi

Daddy Freeze has reacted to the alleged plans by the Metropolitan Police in the UK to sanction one of its staff and current BBNaija Housemate, Khafi, for having sex in the house with her fellow housemate, Gedoni.

In a post he shared on his IG page, Freeze wondered why she would abandon her job to contest in #BBNaija just to gather ”few followers and likes on Instagram’. According to him, she can make the prize money of N60 million if she stayed productive on her job.

Reacting to reports of Khafi having sex with Gedoni in the house, Freeze wondered why she couldn’t have restrained herself. Read what he wrote below

While some will say it’s her life, I wonder why she would do something I personally consider quite reckless?

Like putting a good paying job with benefits and a future on the line for a few followers and linkes on Instagram? How much is N60m that she can not earn from her job in 2 or 3 years?

The s*x part also got me piqued, is she the only one with a vagina? Why she no fit hold body small? But like you guys will say, it’s her life…. So I have no choice but to wish her well. ~FRZ

#BBNaija Housemate Khafi Faces Sack By MET Police As She’s Being Investigated After ‘Sex’ On The Show

BBNaija housemate Khafi faces sack by MET Police as she

Big Brother Naija housemate and Met Police officer, Khafi Kareem, 29, is being investigated for having sex on the show despite warning from her bosses not to take part.

A Met spokesman said last night: “A PC, attached to the Met’s transformation command, requested permission to take part in a reality television entertainment show in Nigeria. Permission was not given.

“The Met is aware the officer has since appeared on the show without authority.

“The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and will be carrying out an investigation into the circumstances.

“The Met does not support the officer’s appearance nor does she represent the Met whilst appearing on the show.”

The force added that any officer found to have breached police standards of professional behaviour could face misconduct proceedings.

The 29-year-old UK based, who was once a ‘poster girl’ for the promotion of female and black staff for Met Police and earns about £30,000 a year, was said to have forcefully left her job for the show.

It was also reported that the authorities made the move to start an investigation as she became the talk of the show after videos of her having sex with her love interest Gedoni went viral online.

Her TV appearances have left colleagues unimpressed. Speaking on the issue, an unnamed colleague told The SUN newspaper: “She’s a serving British police officer – it’s outrageous.

“She asked permission to go on the show but, when her request was refused, she went anyway.”

Another Met source said: “There should be no way back for her from this and her superiors will have to act.

“She fitted the mould perfectly for how the modern force wants to portray itself but seems to have got a bit too big for her boots.

“It’s hard to see how can she argue that she hasn’t brought the force into disrepute.”

Meanwhile, Khafi is currently up for possible eviction.

‘NYPD is The Toughest Gang in New York’ – 50 Cent Reacts As Officials Close The Case Against Officer Who Ordered Police To Shoot Him ‘On Sight’

The NYPD has closed its investigation into claims that a Brooklyn commanding officer ordered police to shoot rapper, 50 Cent on sight.

According to a report by the New York Daily News, the NYPD Internal Affairs Investigators concluded that 72nd Precinct Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez did not mean any malice when he made the statement about 50cent. As a result, they have elected not to move forward with any departmental or criminal charges.

During the investigation, Gonzalez filed an aggravated harassment complaint against 50 Cent. He claimed that the rapper threatened him on Instagram by using his popular “get the strap” hashtag.

50 Cent took to Instagram shortly after the news broke, calling the NYPD the “toughest gang in New York.”

‘I knew they were not going to do anything about this, so I stop talking about it. NYPD is hands down the toughest gang in New York. You just gotta be ready for what ever. You know the vibes’ he wrote.
