In case you are unaware of the movie’s plot, below is a synopsis of “Òlò-tūré.”
The story of “Òlòtūré” centers on Òlò-tūré, a young Nigerian journalist who goes undercover to reveal the brutal truths of human trafficking. In order to gain access to the illicit world of traffickers in Lagos, she poses as a sex worker.
Òlò-tūré encounters other women who have been coerced into prostitution as she delves further into this perilous world. She witnesses the physical and emotional abuse they suffer and learns about their painful stories.
Òlò-tūré was sexually assaulted and became a victim of the same traffickers she went undercover to uncover while attempting to gather evidence.
The concluding part of Ölòtūré: The Journey will be on Netflix June 28.
